How to Enable Waste Tracking

After enabling waste tracking, extra tabs will be displayed on the Inventory page, from which you can see a list of all waste. MJ Platform will automatically add to the list when waste is reported from any job performed at the facility. When tracking waste, transfers will be reported to your state integrator if required.

With waste tracking enabled, you will also be able to track the transportation of waste out of the facility.

Before you can complete this procedure, you must create a storage location for waste. This storage location will be the default for generated waste.

Note: If you are integrated with Metrc, do not use this feature. Instead, follow the Metrc waste tracking procedures.

  1. Open the App Drawer, expand the Facility Settings menu and click Settings (Advanced).

  2. Under Compliance, click Waste & Destruction.

  3. In the Waste Packages section, set the We are required to track waste packages option to Yes.

  4. Select a location for the waste.

  5. Click Save. You will now see tabs related to waste on the Inventory page.
