The MJ Platform inventory sync tool will allow a user to compare some or all packages within MJ Platform to either the metrc or BioTrack state systems and from one page, adjust EITHER MJ Platform or the state system to align inventory levels.

First navigate to Reconciliations > Inventory Sync. Select desired categories and inventory locations.

This feature is built to avoid triggering rate limiting so once a SYNC is started, the user will receive a message to see how long they backend API queries should take. For instance, metrc allows 5 calls per second when looking up packages. Therefore, 100 packages will take slightly over 20 seconds. The user selects the category/categories and location/locations and run the report

The user can navigate away from the Sync page while it finishes. Platform will display a message when the Sync is done regardless of which page the user is on.

Once the job has finished, the user will see package counts for all categories selected and number of discrepancies.

The user can select which categories to list. The listing will give several pieces of information, including the current MJP level, current state system level, UOM, grams and units discrepancies, and buttons to adjust one system or the other. Once an adjustment is made, that line item greys out.

If one package in metrc is expressed through more than one package in MJ Platform, since the same package ID in Platform CAN be in multiple locations, the we see the ADJUST button in the second to the last column, "Sync MJP to metrc. This will open up a popup with each package that could be adjusted. Otherwise, for all 1:1 package associations between Platform and metrc, a number will show on the button for what quantity will be adjusted in which system.

After the first adjustment is made, an Export Adjustment button will be available so that all adjustments for any given Sync session can be downloaded and saved as desired.

Frequently Asked Questions

Setting Up Inventory METRC Sync

Is Inventory METRC / MJ Platform sync state specific for compliance?

YES, this process is state-specific to ensure compliance. As you set up the MJ Platform software, you select your locality, and the system takes those compliance measures into account.

Is the sync feature restricted to users?

YES, this function is restricted to specific users that have this feature turned on. State integration must be toggled on and then this function can be turned on or off for specific users.

Prior to making an adjustment, do you need to reconcile a package individually?

NO, this system is built to eliminate reconciling packages individually. You do not need to reconcile prior to these adjustments.

When does this feature go live?

This feature is CURRENTLY LIVE now. For additional support, please reach out to our team.

Processing Inventory METRC Sync

How long does it take to run inventory numbers for reconciliation?

3-5 MINUTES based on how many packages are selected to run reconciliation data for.

Do the reconciliation steps happen instantly for both MJ Platform and METRC?

YES, this system instantaneously delivers updated data.

Does this keep us in compliance when we do this?

YES, because of our state-specific integration, our compliance measures ensure that all discrepancy reconciliation is within compliance.

Can I do this for multiple locations at once?

YES, however we suggest that users only run reconciliation one at a time. If a user does want to run discrepancy reconciliation for multiple locations, we suggest using different browsers (I.e., Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.) to avoid the tabs getting conflicted. To avoid potential errors, we strongly suggest only running the sync feature on one location at a time.

What adjustment reason(s) are submitted to METRC when adjusting within the inventory sync?

The adjustment reason is listed within the Inventory Sync adjustment reason box.

Troubleshooting Inventory METRC Sync

How can we identify what products have been adjusted?

Products that have been adjusted will appear in a GREY BOX

Can this feature be used to report sales transactions that did not record in METRC?

What if I do not see ‘Inventory Sync’ under ‘Reconciliations’?

Please check your FACILITY SETTINGS to ensure state integrations are turned on and that you as a user have the permissions to access this feature. If you still are unable to access this feature, please reach out to the MJ Platform support team for assistance. mis

Will this feature be able to reconcile products that show quantity on hand in METRC but none in MJ Platform?

NOT YET, however, this is on the workflow for phase two of the inventory sync feature. Please test the feature and provide feedback so we can prioritize other feature upgrades for phase two.
