How to Update the Status of a Transfer

This is the third step in handling outgoing inventory.

A Transfer can have one of the following statuses:

  • Open: The inventory is awaiting delivery. You can edit the transfer details when this status is selected.

  • Out for Delivery: The inventory is in transit. If you save with this status selected, an inventory receipt is generated for the partner's facility to complete, and you will no longer be able to edit any of the Transfer details except for updating its transfer status.

  • Completed: The inventory has been delivered. You will normally not need to select this status since the Transfer will automatically complete when the receiving partner completes their inventory receipt. Once the transfer is completed, both the Sales Order and this Transfer will be marked inactive for you.

  1. Open the App Drawer, expand the Supply Chain menu and click Transfers.

  2. Click Edit Transfer for the Transfer you want to complete.

  3. Scroll to the Transfer Status section at the bottom of the page and select the appropriate status.

  4. Click Print Labels to open the Print window and print the Manifest.

  5. Click Save.
