You can apply a pricing class to a product master. This allows you to apply an override discount to select customer groups. For example, you could set up a pricing class that gives seniors 10% off all items that use the pricing class. You can also apply the pricing class to a pricing group, which is just a shortcut to make it appear on product masters when the pricing group is assigned to a product master.

Creating a Pricing Class

  1. Open the App Drawer and click Facility Settings.

  2. Click Pricing Classes.

  3. Click Create Pricing Class.

  4. Enter a unique name for the pricing class and select the retail facilities it is applicable to.

  5. Set up the override settings for applicable customer groups.

    • The value you enter for the percentage off the base price overrides that of the customer group.

    • Click Add New Customer Group (+) to add a discount override for another customer group.

    • To remove a customer group from the pricing class, click the X button on its row.

  6. Save the pricing class.

    • Click Save And Return to create the pricing class and return to the Pricing Class Listing page.

    • Click Save to create the pricing group and stay on the current page with all the fields cleared.
