How to Enable Register Closing and Opening

With register closing and reopening enabled, budtenders can track their register closings at the end of the day. After closing a register, they can count out the register and set which vault register they put the extra amount into.

Closed registers cannot be used until they are opened again.

  1. Open the App Drawer, expand the Facility Settings menu and click Settings (Advanced).

  2. Under Compliance, click Sales. This opens the Sales Settings page.

  3. In the Register Settings section at the bottom of the page, specify the register close settings:

    1. Set the Allow Closing and Reopening of Registers option to Yes.

    2. Select which action will be required on a closed register:

      • Employee Count: A Count button will be displayed on a closed register. Any user can click the button and count out the register.

      • Verification: A Verify Count button will be displayed on a closed register. A user with permission to perform a verification can click the button and perform a verification count.

      • Employee Count & Verification: Both buttons described above will be displayed on a closed register. With this setting, an employee will first count out the register, then a user with the appropriate permission will be able to verify the count.

  4. Click Save. Users can now close sales and accounts payable/receivable registers.
