Due to errors with Tracking ID's when completing "Package Splits" or using the "Quick Move" tool to move units form a lot to a different location, we recommend adhering to the workarounds described below until further notice:

Package Splits

Described challenge: When you perform a "Package Split", the new child package often does not get a Tracking ID.

Workaround:

  • Step 1: Select Package ID that did not get the Tracking ID after the split, and click Modify Lot.

  • Step 2: Change the quantity of the the package missing the Tracking ID down to "0" and click "Save"

  • Step 3: Select the original Package ID and click Modify Lot.

  • Step 4: Re-inflate the quantity of the original package ID to the original quantity before you made the split.

  • Note: Do not try to split again as it will continue to fail.

Moving inventory units to new location

Described challenge: When you move units from a lot to a different storage location, the units in that new location often do not get a Tracking ID.

Workaround:

  • Step 1: Expand the package that you moved to a new location

  • Step 2: Use the "Destination" dropdown to select the original location of that package

  • Step 3: Click "Save" to merge those units back to the original location so that they re-inherit the original Tracking ID

  • Note: Do not try to move them again as it will continue to fail
