As the custom product subcategories in UT are being deprecated, licensees must use the product subcategories that have been approved for use by the UDOH and UDAF.
This article outlines how to correct existing products currently mapped to custom subcategories.

Fixing a Product Master Assigned to a Custom Subcategory
If you have any product masters in custom subcategories, remap them to subcategories that are approved. To do so, modify the product:
Open the App Drawer and click Products.
In the list of products, click Edit for the product you want to modify.
You can enter information about the product in the search field to narrow the list.
From the Item Subcategory drop-down menu, select one of the approved subcategories (see Approved Subcategories below).
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save and Return. This will update the product subcategory for all inventory items associated with this product.
Fixing Inventory Assigned to an Incorrect Product Master
If you have inventory currently associated with an incorrect product master, you can modify the inventory lot(s) to associate it with a different product master. To modify the inventory lot:
Open the App Drawer and click Inventory.

Select the checkbox for the package, then click Modify Lot.
Click Edit next to the Item field. The Select Product window appears.
Select an approved category and subcategory (see Approved Subcategories below). This displays a list of existing product masters in the selected subcategory.
Select one of the product masters and click Confirm.
In the Modification Date field at the bottom of the page, enter the current date.
Click Modify Package And Return. The inventory associated with the selected product master.
