BioTrack requires all inventory to have an expiration date set, but due to a limitation in its API, it does not allow MJ Platform to provide it with this information immediately upon receiving the new inventory.

However, BioTrack does allow an expiration date to be set when modifying inventory.

How to Push Inventory Expiration Dates to BioTrack

  1. Open the App Drawer and click Inventory.

  2. [get click_batch_to_expand_row]

  3. Select the package checkbox, then click Modify Lot at the top of the page.

  4. Enter the expiration date into the Expiration Date field.

    • Note: Even if the field already contains the proper expiration date, you'll need to select the same expiration date again.

  5. Click Modify Package And Return at the bottom of the page.

Check for Successful Push to BioTrack

Open the API Log to check the latest API calls to BioTrack.

In the list under API Call Endpoint, look for inventory_modify - POST that occurred at the time you modified the package. If the Response is Successful, then an API call was made to BioTrack. To check if the expiration date was properly sent, click View Details.

After clicking View Details you can see whether the expiration date was properly sent to BioTrack via API.
