Rewards allow you to have sales and promotions for specific products or entire product categories. This point-based feature allows all customers, or specific customer groups, to earn points when making purchases. The points can be redeemed for a percentage discount, or a cash value, that is applied to a line item or the entire purchase.
Before you can set up individual rewards, you must configure the Rewards Settings.
Create or Modify a Retail Reward
Open the App Drawer and click Facility Settings.
Click Rewards.
Click Create Reward.
If you want to modify an existing reward, select the reward from the list and click Modify Reward.
Configure the settings in the Reward Definition section:
Field | Description |
Reward Name | Enter a unique name for the reward. It is recommended to include the monetary or percentage value of the reward for clarity. i.e. "500 points = $50" |
Points to Purchase | The number of points a customer needs to qualify for the cash value, or percent discount, listed in the Reward Value field below. |
Reward Value | If Reward Type is set to Cash, this field is the monetary value awarded to the customer when they acquire the point value listed in the Points to Purchase field above. |
Reward Type | Determines if the reward is calculated as a cash value or percentage discount. |
Reward / Discount Applies To | Determines if the reward is applied to individual items in the purchase or to the total cost of a purchase. |
Configure the settings in the Apply restrictions section. In order for a customer to be eligible for the reward, all the conditions in the following fields must be satisfied. Click an option and a pop-up will appear with a list of items to select:
Field | Description |
Customer Groups | Select the checkbox for each customer group that can use the reward. Leave all the checkboxes cleared to allow any customer to use the reward. |
Product Vendors | Select the checkbox for each product vendor whose products the reward can apply to. |
Products | Select the checkbox for each product category that the reward can apply to. After selecting a product category, a list of individual products for that category will appear.
Optionally, clear the checkbox by each individual product that the reward can't apply to. |
Click Save. The reward will be created, or updated, and appear on the Retail: Rewards page, and it can be applied on the Fulfill page of purchases.
