The procedure outlined in this article is part of the initial Metrc integration process. For an overview of the process, see METRC Integration.
You can find your Metrc credentials on the Metrc website. You'll need these credentials to turn on Metrc integration for your facility module in MJ Platform.
Getting Your Metrc API Key
Go to the Metrc website and select your state from the Log In menu at the top-right of the page. This opens the login page for your state in a new tab.
Log in with your username and password. If you don't yet have an account, reach out to Metrc to request one.
If you operate more than one facility, use the menu in the top-right to select the facility that corresponds to the one you are logged into in MJ Platform.
Ensure you have all the employee permissions selected for yourself:
From the Admin menu at the top of the page, click Employees.
Click your profile in the list, then click Edit Employees.
In the Permissions section, ensure that either all the permission checkboxes are selected or that it states "This user's permissions are not available because this user is an industry Admin."
Click Save Employees.
From the user menu at the top-right of the page, click API Keys.
Click Generate to populate the Current API Key field, then copy the API key from the field.
