Global IDs are assigned to entities (plants, packages, transfers, etc.) to track them as they are moved through different facilities. You can see them on any page that lists plants, packages, transfers, etc. They replace the legacy Leaf tracking IDs

Each global ID is a code generated from the information about the entity.

Example: PAG123456.PL1A3RD

It is encoded in the following format:

PA

G

123456

.

PL

1A3RD

State Abbreviations

These are equivalent to the two-letter code of the state. It will always be PA for Pennsylvania.
