Global IDs are assigned to entities (plants, packages, transfers, etc.) to track them as they are moved through different facilities. You can see them on any page that lists plants, packages, transfers, etc. They replace the legacy Leaf tracking IDs
Each global ID is a code generated from the information about the entity.
Example: PAG123456.PL1A3RD
It is encoded in the following format:
PA | G | 123456 | . | PL | 1A3RD |
The state abbreviation | Facility Type where entity originated | Licensee ID | Entity Type | Unique code generated by the system |
State Abbreviations
These are equivalent to the two-letter code of the state. It will always be PA for Pennsylvania.
