A plant in MJ Platform represents a physical plant (or plant material such as seedlings) in your facility. You can track each plant's growth phase, strain, and mother plant, among other information.

Prerequisites

Before you can complete this procedure, you must have the following prerequisites set up:

Note: If you are integrated with BioTrack, you can create mother plants using this procedure, but to create clones that you will harvest, follow the BioTrack plant creation steps.

Creating Plants

  1. Open the App Drawer, expand the Plants menu and click Create Plant.

  2. Enter the required main information about the plants by filling out the fields marked with asterisks.

    • If the plant strain is not displayed in the Strain Name drop-down menu, add it to the list of facility strains.

    • If there is no applicable option displayed in the Change Location drop-down menu, add the location the plants will be located.

    • Use the Quantity field to specify the number of plant records to be created with the same information.

  3. Optionally, enter the applicable mother plant information.

    • If the plants are mother plants, select the Is Mother checkbox. You can also come back and modify this option later if necessary.

    • If the plants have a mother plant, select it from the Mother Plant drop-down menu. The drop-down menu only displays plants added to the system with the Is Mother checkbox selected. Your selection populates the Matriarch Plant field.

  4. Optionally, select the phenotype and feeding schedule.

  5. Save the plants to the system:

    • Click Save and Create More to save the plants and reload this page. The fields will be blanked out so you can create more right away.

    • Click Save And Print Labels to save the plants and open the Print window.

      • Note: There is currently a limit to the number of labels that can be printed at a time. 2x1-inch labels can be printed in batches of 50 at a time. For larger labels with more data keys, the limit is lower.

    • Click Save And Return to save the plants and return to the Plant Listing page, where the newly created plants will be displayed.
