You can send out your test packages for initial testing and stability testing through a specific type of Sales Order.

If you are a lab facility, see How to Add or Edit Test Results.

Note: Test results are linked to batches rather than individual packages. This means that when the lab adds test results to a package, the results will apply to all packages in the same batch.

Prerequisites

Before you can complete this workflow, you must have created lots from a harvest batch and marked at least one of the lots as a test package while doing so. You should also understand the general plant harvesting workflow before continuing.

How to Send a Sample Lot for Testing

When the lab posts their test results, you'll be able to see it for packages of that batch on the Inventory page.

  1. Open the App Drawer, expand the Supply Chain menu and click Create Sales Order.

  2. Create the sales order:

    1. In the top section, fill in the required fields as follows:

      • Order Type: Lab Partners

      • Partner Name: The partner organization the sample will be sent to

        • If the partner is not displayed in the drop-down menu, modify the partner's profile and add the Sell To or Lab option to the Partner Type field.

      • Partner Facility: The specific lab of the partner organization the sample will be sent to

        • If the facility is not displayed in the drop-down menu, modify the partner's profile and add the facility.

      • Date Ordered: The date you ordered the test

      • Date Expected: The date you expect the test results

    2. In the Order Items section, specify the sample that will be sent:

      1. From the Item drop-down menu, select the product master of the sample. The Requested Amount field is then displayed.

      2. In the Requested Amount field, enter the quantity of the single sample to be sent for testing.
Note: You cannot send multiple packages in one transfer.

    3. Save the Sales Order:

      • Click Save to add the Sales order to the Active Sales Orders tab on the Sales Orders page. You can come back to it later to complete the transfer.

      • Click Complete Transfer to save the Sales Order and immediately go to the Complete Transfer page.

  3. Complete the transfer as follows:

    1. Fill out the fields in the Driver Information, Vehicle Information, and Destination sections.

    2. In the Transfer Packages section, scan the barcode of the sample package into the Scan field or select the package ID from the Package Id drop-down menu.

    3. In the Transfer Status section, set the Status to "Out for Delivery".

      • Note: The transfer cannot be edited once saved with this status.

    4. Click Save.
