You can use MJ Platform to handle online reservations by creating a dedicated storage location for online orders and moving requested inventory there.
This article covers the tasks required to do this:
Setting Up for Online Reservations
Before you can handle online reservations, your facility needs to be set up both virtually and physically.
Creating a dedicated storage location in MJ Platform
By creating a storage location dedicated to online orders, you can ensure the reserved items are not mistakenly sold to another customer.
Create a storage location with the following requirements:
Ensure the new location contains a section, as sections are the only location level that can be selected when moving inventory.
Give the section a descriptive name to indicate it is meant for online reservations, such as "Online Reserve".
Creating a dedicated physical storage location
We recommend setting aside an actual physical storage location in your facility for online reservations, such as a bin or a table. When an online reservation arrives, you could write the customer's name on a sticky note and attach it to the reserved inventory, then place the inventory in the bin or on the table.
Handling Online Reservations
Once your facility is set up as described above, you can move inventory to the dedicated storage location when an online reservation arrives.
First move the item physically, then update MJ Platform:
Open the App Drawer and click Inventory.
On the Active Inventory tab, click the production run of the inventory. This expands its row to display the package IDs.
Click the package ID to expand its row.
Move the quantity reserved for the online order:
Click the new entry for the package under the new location and click Modify. This opens the Modify Package page.
Fill out the fields as follows:
In the Packaged Date / Time and the Created Date fields, enter the current date.
Set the Mark as Reserved field to "Yes".
From the Adjustment Reason drop-down menu in the Package Adjustments section, select "Other".
In the Notes field, enter the customer's name.
In the Modification Date field, enter the current date.
Click Modify Package And Print Label.
