Follow the process below to create plants if you are operating in Puerto Rico.

Prerequisite

If your facility is not set up to allow plants to be created from inventory, you'll need to enable it in the Plants Compliance settings.

  1. Open the App Drawer, expand the Facility Settings menu and click Settings (Advanced).

  2. Click Plants Compliance Settings.

  3. Set the Create Plant From Inventory setting to Yes and click Save.

Bring in Clones from a Purchase Order

If you need to bring in new clones, use the supply chain to do so, then skip to Check that a tracking ID was created below.

Create the mother plant

Create the plant and mark it as a mother by selecting the the Is Mother checkbox on the Create Plant page (step 3 in the procedure linked below).

If you already created a plant and it is not marked as a mother, modify the plant to mark it as a mother (step 7 in the procedure linked below).

Create the clone inventory

Create clone inventory from a mother plant by following the steps below.

Before you can complete this procedure, you must have an appropriate product master created whose category is Plant.

  1. Open the App Drawer, expand the Plants menu and click Plant List.

  2. Under the appropriate growth phase tab, select the mother plant and click Package Mother Plants.

    • Note: Although your clones likely come from multiple mothers, neither MJ Platform nor BioTrack allows you to have more than one mother per clone. The best practice is to choose just one of the mother plants that the clones came from (any one). This is so that you can create the batch of clones all together to perform bulk operations on, instead of performing the same operation separately on multiple batches.

  3. Enter the amount of clone material and their storage location.

  4. Click Package Plant(s). This creates the package of clones and adds it to the Inventory page.

Check that a tracking ID was created

If the package does not receive a tracking ID, then anything involving the package will not be properly accounted for in BioTrack. To ensure the package was assigned a tracking ID, look for it on the Inventory page.

  1. Open the App Drawer and click Inventory.

  2. [get click_batch_to_expand_row]

  3. Look for the package's tracking ID under the Tracking ID header. If there is a clock symbol, you may need to just wait a bit for BioTrack to catch up. Refresh the page to check again. If there is still no tracking ID, check the API log for details.

If it turns out there was an error, modify the package to set the inventory level to zero, then create the clone inventory again.

Create the clone plants

Create plants in the usual way, with the following additional step:

On the Create Plant page, select the appropriate Plant Type, then from the Source Item drop-down menu, select the source inventory package.

When you save, the number of plants specified in the Quantity field will be subtracted from the inventory of the Source Item package and created as new plants on the Plant Listing page.
