November 11, 2021
In the coming days, we will be releasing new functionality to improve how users of the lab module enter results and how they are sent to inventory. This should relieve some of the tracking ID issues that sometimes occur.
We will implement this improvement by moving the lab modules from Leaf to new lab modules in MJ Platform.
What this means for you
After November 9, you will need to verify with your lab partner which option to choose when selecting the lab facility from the drop-down menu for a sales order to send a sample to the lab.
After November 19, you will need to send packages for testing to the new MJ Platform lab partner instead of the original Leaf lab. To make it easy to tell the difference between them, we will change the name of all the original Leaf lab modules so that they start with "LF".
When creating a Sales Order to send out samples to a lab partner, do not send samples to these "LF" partners. Instead, find the partner with the same name excluding the "LF". To be sure you know which option to select, contact your lab partner to verify.
For example, if you currently send test samples to a Leaf lab partner named "Lab X", then when we release the new functionality the Leaf lab module "Lab X" will be renamed "LF Lab X", and the new MJ Platform lab module will be named "Lab X" without the "LF". Once this happens, send new transfers to "Lab X" instead of "LF Lab X".
We will turn off the ability to transfer to the original Leaf partners altogether and you will only be able to transfer to MJ Platform partners. If you try to send a transfer to a Leaf partner after that date, you will need to recreate the transfer so that it is sent to the correct MJ Platform partner.
(Update: Originally, the deadline was November 12. It has now been extended to November 19, as stated above.)
