This error is applicable if reservations are enabled for the facility.

If you receive an error that there is not enough inventory when, in fact, there is, It may be the case that certain packages are stuck "in reserve".

A product master reservation occurs when there is an open Sales Order involving the product master, since a Sales Order doesn't detail which individual packages will be sent. A product master reservation prevents any of its packages from being used for other purposes.

Package reservations occur when a Sales Order is fulfilled and a Transfer is created. The product master reservation is released and the individual packages involved in the Transfer are reserved.

Resolution 1 - Release all reservations on the affected package item

  1. Open the App Drawer and click Inventory.

  2. Search for the product.

  3. Find the affected batch number.

  4. Click the batch to expand its row.

  5. Click the affected package ID to expand the package section.

  6. Click Reservations History.
