You can set up daily sales limits in your retail module to stop a retail sale from completing if it breaks sales rules in your jurisdiction. For example, you can set the maximum amount of Infused Edibles sold to a customer in a day.

To override these settings for individual patients, modify their patient profile and use the controls at the bottom of the page.

Open the App Drawer, expand the Facility Settings menu and click Settings (Advanced).

Click Sales.

Use the controls at the top-left of the page to set how your limits will apply:

Field

Description

Settings For

Determines whether to display the rules for medical or recreational patients. Both sets of rules will apply when you save; this field acts as a toggle switch for your current view.

Settings Method

The way rules for sales limits will be set up. You can select Category Based Equivalency or Category Based Rules. Each one is described in the sections below.

Disable Limits

Click to disable the rules in this section entirely.

Enable Limits

Click to enable the rules in this section if they are currently disabled.

Use the table to set your limits. The table displayed depends on the Settings Method you chose above.

Category Based Equivalency

These settings will apply if Category Based Equivalency is selected from the Settings Method menu. Using this method, you control how the quantity of a Flower product converts to the quantity of another category of product. For example, you can set 5 grams of Flower product equal to 1 gram of Concentrate, which means when a customer purchases 1 gram of Concentrate, it will count as 5 grams of Flower toward their limit.

Field

Description

Enabled

Select the red checkbox to enable the equivalency. Clear the green checkbox to disable the equivalency.

If enabled, MJ Platform will enforce an equivalency rule for the category listed in the Of Product Type column. If disabled, any sales of products in the category of this row will not contribute to customer limits.

Gram(s) of Flower Product

The quantity of Flower product to use for the equivalency. The unit of measure for the quantity is set through the In Weight Measure field.

Quantity

The quantity of the other category to equate the Flower quantity to.

Of Product Type

The category of product this conversion is for.

In Weight Measure

The unit of measure for the quantities in the row. The Each option is to measure in discrete units instead of weight or volume.

In the field next to Restrict sales to patients without over-rides to how many grams of flower product or its equivalent, enter the gram restriction of Flower for patients of the selected type from the Settings For menu. You can override this setting for specific patients in their patient profiles.

Category Based Rules

These settings will apply if Category Based Rules is selected from the Settings Method menu. Using this method, you control the quantity limit separately for each category.

Field

Description

Category

Displays the category of product that the settings in the row apply to.

Quantity Limit

The sales limit for the category of product.

Unit of Measure

The unit of measure for the quantities in the row. The EA option is to measure in discrete units instead of weight or volume.

Weight Field

Determines the field from the product master that will be used as the amount sold to a client when completing an order. You can find these fields in the Inventory Settings of a product master.

For example, if Gross Weight is selected for Infused Edibles, and then 2 units of an Infused Edibles product whose gross weight is 25 grams is sold, then 50 grams will be put towards the customer's limit for the Infused Edibles category.
