Montana and Missouri Retail Sales Limits

In order to comply with new state regulations, retail sales limits in Montana and Missouri are now pre-set and cannot be changed.

Setting the Proper Values

First, set up Sales Limit equivalencies. Some options whose values are mandated by the state will not be available for editing.

Then, to enter the medicated weight of each unit of an infused edible product, go to the product master and update the fields in the Inventory Settings section. The sales limits are automatically calculated based on these values and categories of the product masters.

Additionally, when adding test results to an inventory item, required results are marked with an asterisk (specifically THC fields). Results cannot be saved unless these fields are properly filled out.

Limits Are Connected to Metrc

The limit calculations for each patient are tied to Metrc, which means the limits will be properly calculated even if the patient buys cannabis from other retailers.

You can view a patient's limits on the Patient Listing page.

You can check the API log or perform a Sales Export to see the limits sent to Metrc under "thc".

How Limits Are Displayed and Enforced

Patient sales limits connected to Metrc are now displayed while processing a patient's order.

If you try to complete a transaction at the point of sale that would put a patient over their sales limit, an error message will be displayed and the transaction will not be completed. The error message displays the amount over the limit measured in grams of Flower.
